Ramen Bar Kazoku | Our Story

Kazoku Means Family

Kazoku means family. Family is one of the most important thing in life. Our Family lived and owned a restaurant in NYC, we moved to Charlotte in 2021 and found out what we’re missing. It is our dream to bring Japanese atmosphere, authentic flavors of Japanese comfort food, and is our pleasure to introduce Japanese soul food and hospitality to Charlotte. We’re equipped to make any meal memorable. We promise you'll feel like family the moment you step through our door. Our focus is not on profit margins, but rather on the guests’ complete satisfaction. Kazoku is a place for you and your family, whether by blood or not, can gather and enjoy Japanese soul food, drinks and atmosphere.

"Irasshaimase" and "Itadakimasu"

"Irasshaimase" and "Itadakimasu"

Displayed throughout our restaurant is the phrase "Irasshaimase" (いらっしゃいませ), the traditional Japanese expression for "Welcome." It reflects the warm hospitality and appreciation we extend to every guest who walks through our doors. You may also notice the phrase “Itadakimasu" (いただきます), a cherished Japanese tradition spoken before a meal. More than simply saying "let's eat," it is an expression of gratitude for the ingredients, the hands that prepared the food, and the opportunity to share a meal together.
Beyond Ramen

Beyond Ramen

We celebrate the comforting everyday dishes enjoyed throughout Japan. Our menu features favorites such as Gyudon (beef bowl), Chashu Don (braised pork rice bowl), Chicken Katsu Curry, and other satisfying rice dishes that have long been part of Japanese home cooking and casual dining. These meals are simple, comforting, and deeply rooted in Japanese food culture.
